Assessment
Contact us for a free initial telephone consultation (up to 20 minutes) to discuss the concerns relating to the child.
If you decide to go ahead with an assessment this can take place either at the child's home or the school/pre-school setting. Fees will be agreed beforehand.
A brief report can be provided summarising the assessment and any advice or recommendations discussed.
Therapy
We can provide follow up sessions to support implementing the strategies and advice discussed at the initial assessment. Therapy sessions are tailored to meet the needs of the child. Activities are planned in line with target outcomes agreed with parents / carers. Sessions can be booked individually or in blocks of four. We work collaboratively with families, carers and education / care settings as their involvement in the therapy process is really important to maximise the impact.
Schools & Early Years
Christine has worked collaboratively with teachers, support staff and other professionals within educational settings for more than 12 years to support the development of speech, language and communication skills in children.
Advice can be provided at the universal level to support communication across the whole setting, as well as at a more targeted level supporting interventions for identified groups of children. Specialist assessment and advice / therapy is offered for individual children with a greater or more complex level of need.
Each setting is unique and service provision can be tailored to meet the needs of the school.
